Dr Paul (Christopher) Scott[1] (b. October 5, 1953, Darley Dale, Derbyshire) is a Cumbrian based artist, author, curator, gardener, and professor noted for his characteristic blue and white artworks in glazed ceramic and research into printed vitreous surfaces.
Education and Early Career
Scott studied at S. Martins College, Lancaster from 1972 to 1977 where he was awarded a Bachelor of Education (2.1 Hons).

He was actively involved in student politics and elected President of the Students Union (sabbatical post 1975 - 1976). He went on to teach art and ceramics for eight years at two comprehensive schools, Malvern Hall Solihull and Morton in Carlisle, before leaving the teaching profession to become a full-time artist, author and researcher in 1985.
